Bring back childhood memories: Make drinks that taste like nostalgia

There’s no denying GenZ and Millennials have had a lot of choices in this dynamic era. With the click of a button, you can find your ‘soulmate’ or order your comfort food.

When it comes to partying and having fun, these generations have seen it all. From not getting enough of barf ka kala khatta gola to sipping the flavour of their childhood fav ‘kala khatta’ paired with their go-to alcohol.

Experimenting with different flavoured drinks (whether a cocktail or mocktail), with your friends and reminiscing about childhood memories is highly underrated.

The global cocktail syrups market is expected to be valued at USD 5.99 billion by 2028 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.7% during the forecast period (Source – Grand View Research). The rise of cocktail syrups is the openness of GenZ and Millennials to experiment with various flavours. Their willingness to try new flavours is not only limited to making DIY drinks at home, but also in cafes and restaurants. They are here to try it all. And we love that about them!

On this note, let’s take a stroll down memory lane while sipping on the tastes of your childhood in adulthood. Here’s how!

Ah, it’s reminiscing time! Don’t we all want to go back to the simple times when we used to run home with our friends to eat Jamuns in those sweltering summers? The sweat and heat were the last things we had on our minds. All our attention was to hog on to as many Jamuns as we can, and how can we not mention the ultimate brain-freezing(drum roll, please) Kala Khatta Gola. Even though we had this gola 100s of times (don’t pretend like 100 is too much, we won’t tell your mom, it’s between us), every time we stick our tongue out and ask our friend “did my tongue get coloured”, we would then agree and laugh with the same intensity (EVERY TIME!).

On this note, before you wander too far down memory lane, why not taste the memories of your childhood with our Jamun Kala Khatta cocktail? Here’s a quick recipe:

First things first, cover the ring of your glass with salt and chilli (to enhance the taste with every sip). Add 4-5 cubes of ice. Add one part Swa Jamun Kala Khatta to six parts of soda and ice to whip up a simple yet delicious Jamun mocktail.

You can do a classic Swa Jamun Kala Khatta & tonic with some vodka, tonic, lime juice, ice and syrup! Add a dash of Swa Jamun Kala Khatta to your black tea to spice it up! Make Mojitos, Margaritas, Lemonades, Martinis & so much more!

Speaking of childhood, how can we forget the king of fruits – MANGO!

During childhood, one of the ‘passions’ in life was ripe mangoes, pulpy, juicy, and sweet! As we ate mangos with our childhood friends, we were bonding without even realizing that we were creating memories for a lifetime over mangos. We ate like no one was watching! Sticky hands? What’s that?! It can only mean you thoroughly enjoyed the mango. Though we all had the eye of a hawk when it came to staining clothes while devouring those ripe mangoes because a drop on the shirt would hurt later (if you know, you know).

Let us help you bring back those memories with our Mango passion syrup

With our mango passion syrup, you can easily make a mango passion daiquiri. All you need is:

Lots of ice

45ml Swa Mango Passionfruit syrup

60 ml white rum

50 ml water

1/2 lime

Stir, garnish & serve!

Why not relive these memories in the ‘adult’ way?! The ‘passion’ in our lives might have changed, but love for mangoes and Jamun Kala Khatta is what keeps that kid alive.

Let every sip make you relish an old memory, and have a blissful day. Keep loving, laughing, and drinking for a happy life!
