Which four drinks should you serve at a kid's birthday party?

Quick answer

Four drinks work well for a kid's birthday party: Fabulous Fruit Punch, Luscious Lychee Lemonade, a Mint Chocolate Mocktail and a Mangolicious Slushie. All use Swa syrups, each takes about 30 seconds to make, and the syrup-based drinks can be pre-batched before the guests arrive.

Skip the soft drinks and give the party a fruity, colourful option. This one is aimed at home hosts, but the same drinks work on a family-friendly cafe menu. See the flavour collection for more.

How do you set up Fabulous Fruit Punch?

Mix and match syrups and fruit garnishes, and set up a punch station so children can build their own. Flavours to use: Swa Summer Berries syrup, Orange Mint, Lychee Lemon and Mango Passion. It also works for barbecues and playdates.

How do you make Luscious Lychee Lemonade?

Use Swa Lychee Lemon: one part syrup to six parts water and ice. A little lime juice with ice and syrup also works. Serve in mason jars with colourful paper straws for effect.

How do you make a Mint Chocolate Mocktail?

Chocolate is the easiest way to win over kids. This uses Swa Cocoa Mint syrup.

  2. Pour 3 tablespoons of syrup into a zip-top plastic bag and cut a small hole in one corner. Pipe swirls inside each glass from the bottom upwards. Set aside.
  3. Blend the vanilla ice cream and milk until smooth and serve immediately in the glasses.

How do you make a Mangolicious Slushie?

A mango slushie using Swa Mango Passion syrup.
