Swa Margarita Cocktail Recipe
Yields1 Serving
A fun and zesty drink, the margarita is a popular cocktail option at the bar. It has many origins, mostly Mexican, and a variety of interesting variations. With a sweet and salty flavour, it has won over many hearts and even earned multiple pop-culture points in Jurassic World with a man seen double fisting Margaritas while making a run for it. Some believe the Margarita to be a remake of the Daisy, where rum is substituted with Tequila. Over the years, many laid claim to being the creators of this drink. Margaritas come in a variety of flavours and styles, depending on the flavour of tequila, syrup and liqueurs used. The frozen Margarita has also gained popularity, being made with ice slush, perfect for summers. There's also a beer version of this drink, called the Coronarita, where an upside down bottle of Corona beer is added as the finish touch! Our recipe calls for a more tropical breezy pineapple addition. Made with the Swa Pineapple Bird's Eye Chilli Syrup, it's an unconventional twist that is sure to gather a following. This Pineapple syrup is made from fruit brought from Kerala and Bird's Eye Chilli which is a Thai Chilli, commonly found in places like Ethiopia and South-East Asia. They were found to grow in the wild in coffee estates, helping balance the ecosystem as well as the coffee plants! Keep a 100% natural, without any preservatives or added colours, be sure to get an authentic kick of flavour with this one.

Ingredients

Drinkware: Margarita Glass
 60 ml Tequila
 25 ml Lemon Juice
30 ml SWA Pineapple Bird's Eye Chilli Syrup

Directions

1

First, salt the rim of the glass; take a lemon wedge and run it around the edge then dip it evenly into salt.

2

Add all ingredients in a blender with ice and blend it till frozen.

3

Pour it in the glass and garnish with an orange peel squeeze.

Food Pairing: Seafood, wraps, salads, grills and roasts go really well with Margaritas. If you're in the mood to host, go all out with a Mexican feast!
