SWA SUMMER BERRIES MOCKTAIL RECIPE

Swa Summer Berries Mocktail Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp Summer Berries Syrup
  • 1/4 tbsp Rosewater
  • 3-4 Kaffir Lime Leaves
  • Half Lemon Zest
  • 1/4 cup Club Soda
  • Ice

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Use a flat bottomed glass for this drink to help the muddling process (use a muddler or wooden spoon to muddle some ice and fresh kaffir lime leaves). Gently muddle them to release the fragrant juice from the leaves. Add the remaining ice as well.
  2. Build your drink by pouring in the rosewater, Summer Berries syrup and club soda. Zest half a lemon, and add it to the drink.
  3. Stir with a long spoon or cocktail stirrer and mix to combine.
  4. If available, add some fresh berries like strawberry, mulberry or blueberry to the drink or garnish with a lemon wedge.

Strawberries give us all the summer feel, with their juicy sweet flavour and fresh, intoxicating fragrance, this fruit has won almost every heart since childhood. We've concocted a delightfully refreshing beverage using the Swa Summer Berries syrup. This berry mocktail recipe uses a hint of lemon for the perfect zesty balance. The common Strawberry is actually a hybrid and was first bred in France! While there are many naturally occurring varieties, most of them were not consumed on account of being too small or unappealing in taste. Another reason to thank the Europeans would be for the combination of Strawberries and cream, as it was first created in Henry VIII's court. Filled with vitamin C and antioxidants, this aromatic fruit is a culinary favourite! A go-to flavour choice for many, it is used in jams, preserves, doughnuts, ice-cream, cocktails, mocktails and more. Fresh strawberry juice is commonly served at many restaurants, but many times we opt for iced teas or other beverages that don't really use the true flavour of the fruit, but rather a synthetic flavour. Our berry mocktail recipe uses the Swa Summer Berries syrup, a lovely mix of pulped Strawberries from Mahabaleshwar and Hibiscus flowers from Mysore. Made using 100% natural ingredients, this strawberry syrup is free of preservatives, artificial ingredients and added colours. A dreamy and slightly tart flavour, it captures the true essence of summer in its creation. This recipe also uses Kaffir Lime leaves, an Asian cuisine favourite, if you can't get your hands on them, the lime zest serves as a substitute. Mix this mocktail for an afternoon event or as an early evening refresher.
